United Kingdome: Foreign Football Players Now Require English
The global growth of Football (soccer) comes second to none. Unlike many other sports found in the world that requires pricey equipment and organized leagues, football generally only requires a little space, a handful of people and a ball for the beginner. Something that even the poorest of poor countries can afford. However, for those who have succeeded to become proficient in the sport now must likewise become proficient in the English language, if you desire your career to expand to Britain. The British Football Association now requires (Feb. 2) foreign players to obtain a tier 2 skilled worker visa which requires basic English living skills.Under a new points-based visa system, any players who originate from outside the EU will have to apply for a Tier 2 skilled worker visa and prove that they have basic English skills before they will be allowed to kick a ball professionally in Britain. - Guardian
