India Suicide: is English Medium to Blame?

Gudavalli village, Wednesday July 16, a student at a local corporate college leaped to his death from his dorm (hostel).  16 year old Malavat Jagadeeswar may not have been an A student but did well in his studies.  However, since the new English as a medium program was initiated in the schools, Malavat Jagadeeswar found his studies all that more difficult.  Newindpress states:
The cause of his extreme step is unclear but reports say he was home sick and found the medium of instruction, English, hard to follow particularly in his Maths class. - Newind Press
Previously ESL Daily reported the changes made in the Indian education system:
Despite criticism and doubts, India has begun its ‘English for Monday’ program.  Over 6000 government schools in the country will now speak only English during school hours.    Previously ESL Daily explained that English would become the medium of Education throughout the country, however, the program was adapted to only one day a week for English immersion… India: Monday is for English.
Reports state that the young student, though depressed and on medication, had been attending class and departed from his friends during lunch break when he jumped from the third floor of his hostel
