Another Disgraceful ESL Teacher
Thomas Arthur Beltran faced a judge yesterday with 8 victims and 14 charges of child sexual abuse. The teacher was arrested May 5th 2008 after one student reported to authorities of sexual abuse in her class. Thomas had been a seventh grade ESL teacher at Lincoln Middle School for over 20 years, a teacher for over 30 and has been married for 35. Authorities suspect that there are more accounts of sexual abuse that occurred during Mr. Beltran’s career , but students have yet to come forward. Thomas pleaded not guilty in front of the judge and bail was set to $3.3 million. The 60 year old teacher faces a 20 year life imprisonment charge.
The middle school’s teachers, parents and students are all in shock from the situation, while the world stands horrified with another teacher facing charges of a sexual related crime. Child sex related crimes are inexcusable and intolerable especially when they involve teachers. Numerous arrests this year have been made from around the world to put an end to child crimes. We have seen this year these crimes take place in many countries regardless of age, sex, nationality, education or experience. This article is too economical in its descriptions; WHERE was Mr Beltrand accused of sexual misconduct? What nationality do these "$" have?
Normally ESL teachers are caught for sexual misbehaviour in Asian countries. Not this guy, apparently.

Yes, this situation is in America, but that does not make the matters economical. The information does not provide details about what nationality the students are. But it was at a school, not an institution, which means he probably taught many different nationalities. Another, from what I understand, there was video evidence of in class misbehavior. Asia, Europe, South America, North America - Sexual misconduct is wrong - especially in the classroom.
